Why Redhawk

Framed by someone who understands what it stands for

Redhawk Framing Studio is veteran-owned. When you bring in a folded flag, a shadow box of medals, or the discharge papers that closed a chapter of service, you’re handing them to someone who knows exactly what they weigh.

That respect shows up in the work — in archival mounting that protects for generations, in layouts that honor a career, and in framing built to be handed down, not replaced.

Frequently asked questions

How much does custom framing cost?+
Every piece is priced by size, materials, and complexity — a standard photo differs from a museum-glass conservation frame or a multi-object shadow box. Consultations and quotes are always free; call (360) 281-4380 and we will give you an honest number before any work begins.
What areas do you serve?+
Redhawk Framing Studio serves Vancouver, WA and the greater Portland–Vancouver metro, including Salmon Creek, Hazel Dell, Battle Ground, Camas, Ridgefield, and Portland, Oregon.
Are you really by appointment only?+
Yes. Working by appointment lets Jeff give every project his full attention and keeps pricing fair. Reach out by phone or email and we will find a time that works for you.
What makes a military shadow box or flag case different from a standard frame?+
Depth, layout, and preservation. Medals, insignia, and folded flags need dimensional space, archival mounting, and a composition that honors the service. As a veteran-owned studio, we build these with a personal understanding of what they represent.
Do you use conservation and UV-protective materials?+
When your piece calls for it, absolutely. We offer acid-free matting, archival mounting, and UV-filtering and museum-grade glazing to protect artwork, documents, and heirlooms from fading and damage.
How long does custom framing take?+
Most projects are completed in one to two weeks depending on materials and complexity. Need something for a specific date — a retirement, memorial, or gift? Tell us and we will do everything we can to meet it.
